Hi Tristan,
I received a copy of your newest book on trees and it’s fantastic. I’m a bird watcher and now I’m also enjoying and understanding the tremendous diversity of trees that I encounter as I travel around looking at birds.
I spotted some Eastern Cottonwoods yesterday by the edge of a lake which you had predicted as part of water-loving trees. I also now understand the “Parasol Effect “ on a Sand Pine (see my photo above) that I spotted on a recent trip to south Texas! I would encourage all birdwatchers to pick up a copy of your book and it will double the fun of their journeys!
