A History of Seeing in Eleven Inventions

I have written a short foreword for this excellent book.

I start some of my talks with this line, ‘I’m going to try to change the way you see the world, forever.” And I mean it sincerely.

Susan Denham Wade certainly achieves that in this book and in a totally original way. By using major breakthroughs as landmarks, we learn how we see well, badly and bizarrely.

The book leads us on a tour of 500 million years of prehistory and history, as it weaves delicious factoids into a coherent and intelligent narrative.

There is a collection of review quotes and more on the Waterstones page.
