Thanks to the Sunday Brunch team at Channel 4 and Princess Productions for a very enjoyable, if slightly surreal Sunday morning.
I was there to discuss reading water with hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer in front of a bewildering number of TV cameras (5?). Live TV is spicy and full on.
But it is a long show – three hours, respect to all involved – and I was on late which meant spending three hours in the green room. It was here that I met a wonderful gang of guests who were all charming and friendly.
Not shiest amongst them was Scarlett Moffatt from Gogglebox. Meeting Scarlett is a goal high on the list of all of us who venture out in a bid to make discoveries large and small. I bet not even Tim Peake the astronaut can claim to have done that.
An enjoyable foray into another world, but surreal enough to make me pine for the fjords.
