This is an abridged edition of the original Natural Navigator book. It is approximately 30,000 words long instead of 80,000. This is an ideal present and the perfect book for those who like the practical aspects of the subject and have less interest in the historical and cultural aspects.
Please be aware that although it was given the title ‘The Pocket Guide’ by my publishers, this is a hardback and not a tiny one (20.5cm by 13.5cm). In short, it would require a generous pocket.
