A FREE PUBLIC TALK
A pair of events to celebrate the Royal Institute of Navigation’s 75th Anniversary.
The Royal Institute of Navigation is proud to support the EICC Live public talks programme to bring you two fascinating speakers. First we’ll hear from author and curator David Rooney, whose latest book is called About Time: A History of Civilization in Twelve Clocks. We’ll hear about how timekeeping continues to shape our modern world and the surprisingly far-reaching effects of clocks. David’s talk will be followed by an interview with Tristan Gooley, nicknamed “The Sherlock Holmes of Nature” by the BBC, which should leave you walking away with a deeper appreciation for time and the natural world.
